How far along? You are 26 weeks old today.
Weight Gain? You now weigh about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches from head to heel, the size of an English hothouse cucumber. (Seriously Baby Center? An “English hothouse” cucumber?)
Symptoms? This week, I’ve been feeling the pregnancy. I can barely keep up a brisk walk without cramping and feeling out of breath. The weather has been hot, so that may have something to do with it. I’m also getting regular nose bleeds, which are more a hassle than painful or scary.
Sleep? Still getting up a couple times a night to use the bathroom. I know that I’ll long for these days when 2 nightly bathroom trips are replaced by 5 feedings/diaper changes.
Foods I am loving? Grilled corn, fruit, gallons and gallons of water.
Best moment this week? Seeing Frightened Rabbit and Death Cab for Cutie last night at Red Rocks.
Movement? At the concert, you were either dancing like a fool or very bothered by the loud music. I wasn’t sure and ended up half-holding my camera bag in front off you in an attempt to block some of the noise. You’re moving normally today.
What I miss? Running. Cool weather.
What we’ve been up to: Your Aunt Kate is staying with us for a while on her eventual journey to California. It’s been great to have her around. I bought a used bicycle from Park Hill’s Bike Depot and have been taking rides around the neighborhood – fun. Still picking up apples.
Weekly Wisdom: Gardens have flowers, but also worms, spiders, ants, centipedes and lots of other creepy crawlies. That’s not a metaphor for anything, just something I learned today while thinning out the iris bed.
